Holden Machine & Fabrication was founded by Aaron “Pap” Rice Sr., in 1979. This family owned organization has served WV, KY, OH, VA and PA commercial/industrial markets, for more than a quarter century.HM&F remains the cornerstone of this three company enterprise which now includes, Conveyor Manufacturing & Supply (Milton, WV.) and Mine Exchange & Supply (Cora, WV.). Together with sons Aaron Jr. and James, the Rice family continues to build the organization based on old school principals that have proven successful for over twenty-six years.“You can’t sell from an empty wagon”, “Use only the highest quality name brand equipment & parts”, “Provide our customers with immediate response and personalized service."

These fundamental guidelines have allowed the HM&F enterprise, to compete successfully with publicly held national chains. By exceeding the capabilities of the national chains on a local & regional level, the HM&F enterprise has earned a significant market share through unprecedented customer service.

Today, this vertical enterprise is recognized as the regions leading resource in the areas of power transmission components, rebuild & fabrication services, plant & mine supplies, material reduction equipment including crushers, shredders & vibrating feeders and mobile technical services including vibration analysis and laser alignment.

The organization stands behind its commitment to the manufacturers it represents and the customers it serves - by maintaining multi-million dollar “in-stock” inventories of core equipment, parts and even complete power transmission configurations. During June 2005, HM&F opened its fifth branch office and distribution center located in Beckley, WV. (see Rep & Facility Locator). With five centrally located facilities and a team of experienced sales professionals and technicians – the organization is able to provide immediate deliveries, mobile technical services and sales coverage on a 24/7 basis.

For almost three decades this organization has focused on building a distribution network that targets the regions leading coal, energy, timber/wood products/paper/pulp, aggregate, steel, chemical, waste and manufacturing companies throughout West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania. In many cases the HM&F organization is the sole source supplier, to key customers in these industrial markets.

For over twenty five years, HMF continues to serve customers in the coal, energy, timber/wood products/paper/pulp, aggregate, steel, chemical, waste and manufacturing industries throughout West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
